Engineer du jour

At our friends Bonnie and Gary's lake house, with their very cute, very smart, and very funny engineer daughter, who was lamenting wistfully that she was not Ass Burger*, even though she did display certain Ass Burger traits, as she was making fancy cornbread with goat cheese and onions:


The recipe called for onions (not pictured) to be cut 3/4" thick so that's just what she did.

* Apparently, it is very In for Dude Engineers of a Certain Age to be Ass Burger.

PS That cappuccino in the corner is mine. Bonnie and Gary have a very cool cappuccino machine from Italy. I learned the hard way that I should not have four cappuccinos in a row.
