It goes to 11

This was when I thought 23 degrees was cold. Ha. What did I know?

I had to resort to asking my shoe repair guy, whom I had gone to see about my purse, how I should light the pilot light. He drew me a little diagram and explained that there should be something to depress (besides me, thinking of $6,000 for a new boiler) for several seconds while I light the pilot.

My rv had one such. It is scary as s--t to light it, but there comes a point where it MUST be done.

Two years ago a person who I otherwise respected told me that, due to climate change, Wisconsin would have a climate similar to that of Arkansas in 5 years. That's 3 years from now. I think Wisconsin needs to hurry up if it's going to make that deadline.

23 is not cold. During winter, that's like a heat wave in WI! Just ask the crazies who go shirtless at the Packers games. (Truthfully, I am not a fan of the cold. When it dips below 30, I just freeze...)

I remember in the 90s when it was -40 with the wind chill for several days. You'd need a heated toilet seat in that weather for sure.

Fin, I was happy to delegate the task to Harpo and then to SH. I don't play well with fire.

Laura, I would be thrilled with an Arkansas climate. I thought Memphis had perfect weather. But considering the last ice age was the Wisconsonian, I am not going to hold my breath.

Melissa, 23 feels positively tropical to me these days.
