Delurking day

Today is the day to identify yourself. Really. I know my mother reads this blog. Some of my mom's friends. My cousin. A few of my real-life friends who keep up with my life by reading this blog because they know I am not a big phone talker. Some blog friends. (Read them - their blogs are are over there on the right.)

My brother. My own brother. Does not read this blog. How demoralizing is that?

But who are the rest of you? Are there any others? Please leave a comment! Tell me who you are.

If I were Marta from My Big Fat Cuban Family, I would bribe you with coupons from Baskin Robbins, but I am not she. She is a big-time blogger. I was bigger when I was on journalspace but then there was The Tragedy and I lost 75% of my readers.

Well. We will not speak of that.

PS Please don't mortify me by making me realize that I have no readers.

I'm not a lurker. Far too talkative to lurk. But I will say hi anyway:).

You know I'm your biggest fan. Especially when you are writing about food. Cheese. Bacon. Custard. Pretzel rolls. Yum.

And I come for the cat pix!

I'm one of your fans who survived the journalspace disaster.

But you know that, so it's not really a delurk.

Ok I'm a regular anon... from Montreal - the reason; my husband works for a company based in Sheboygan and your comments about Wisconsin people are sooooo funny (and some times so true ;-)
And some are true gems...

Hi, I'm a lurker from Nova Scotia

I'm a lurker from California. I love the cat pics too! They make my cat Jazzy (17) look like a lump on a log. :-)

Hi there.

Can I steal your post, verbatim (except for the whole journalspace thing)? Sometimes I feel as if I am the only reader of my blog.

I am still an avid reader, even though you abandoned Memphis for the frozen north.

I am Dale from Atlanta -- was in Raleigh when Journal space died, went nuts looking for you -- actually only took a day or so - I used to live in McHenry County, IL, not so far from MKE, enjoy your observations, comments, and sense of humor immensely, and think you have beautiful cats, albeit a bit neurotic (what cats aren't?). Keep on keepin' on!

(Kinda) Delurking! Commented once or twice before. Writing from accross the border in Tijuana. Don't really remember how I first came to your blog. Probably by a comment on the Manolo's blog some time ago...

You know me.

Just swelling this comment thread so you won't be embarrassed.

I'm lurking from Seattle. And no longer remember how I discovered your blog.

Sounds like your brother is a big ol' @$&. :)

A lurker in Cincinnati. Do not recall how I originally came across your blog. Made one anonymous post in the past. I come for the Marriage 201 entries. I laugh out loud because nearly every experience you've blogged about I can find in my own marriage.

I'm excited to fall under the "first thing in the morning" category! And I love your cats and think SH is an amazing catch! And ALL your blogs are fun! ;-)

You are the neighbor who I have never met in the real world.

Hello all! Thank you so much for your comments! Nicky, I'm sure your cat is gorgeous. Dale, I debated changing my name because there were - um - issues with certain people whom I cannot name here reading my blog and I wanted to be able to discuss things but I didn't want to lose my jspace readers. Anyone who wants the full story may email me (nettie_37@hotmail.com). TG, I wonder when I am at Sendik's if that is you squeezing the cantaloupe. Info, my brother promised that he reads me in chunks. We'll see. Tam, don' you love Manolo? Mark, I am glad to know that my experiences are universal. Leigh, now I have two friends named Leigh! Anna and Anon, I wondered who my Canadian readers were! Joan, the cats are for you.

Suzanne and Becky, I should have pluralized cousins. Anita, Kim, Ptolemy, LPC, Julie, Richard, Amanda - I'm glad to know I can count on you.

And you know me, too. Unfortunately, there is precious little that I read every day because my rugrats keep me going. I love a good SH story :D

I stopped lurking from California a week ago, so now you're stuck with me. I read you every day and have just recently started to comment. I'll try not to be too snarky. Oh, who am I kidding...?

Joanna said...

LOL, YOU KNOW WHO I AM ..... your sister's "other mother" - you were too grown to adopt.

We still miss you here in Memphis! Glad to be able to keep up with you and your antics!

Late to the party as usual, but you KNOW I read you. Like LPC, I'm far too talkative to lurk.

Okay, okay - I haven't the past few days, but I've been busy.

mrsdarwin said...

Okay, way late, but I lurk occasionally. I think I found you from Manolo when I used to read that, but you've commented at my place too.

I clicked on your name on punk rock HR because i liked your point of view in the comments you sometimes leave - and saw you on Clue Wagon as well. Love your stories - you have a way with words - if you ever write that book - I will be in line to buy it!

hey, I found you off of a comment you made on PunkRockHR, too! small world!
