Marriage 501, Lecture 312: What are the odds of getting sick on a Saturday? Like one in a thousand?

Me: Hey! This is cool!

SH: What?

Me: Someone sent me an email that this year, December has five Saturdays, five Sundays, and five Mondays.

SH: So?

Me: Well, guess how frequently that happens?

SH: Duh. Once every seven years.

Me: No! Once ever 824 years!

SH: That's wrong.

Me: Why?

SH: Think about it. It happens every time December first falls on a Saturday. Which is once every seven years.

Me: Oh! Right! [Note to self: don't believe everything you get in email, especially when it's so obviously wrong.] [Double note to self: But I am exhausted and not thinking straight.]

I did google, thinking that leap year would affect this somewhat and indeed it does, but not stretching it out to every 824 years.
