I handed my phone to SH for him to read something. He pulled his head back once the phone was in his hand.
Me: Your vision is getting worse.
SH:Yep. That's aging.
Me: Maybe you could go to the optometrist.
SH: Why?
Me: To get your eyes checked. So you can get glasses.
SH: Why would I want that? That's just crazy to go to an optometrist!
Me: So you could see when you want to read something close?
SH: What's the point of glasses that you take off and on all the time?
Me: They're called reading glasses.
SH: That is just way too much work.

So, you get bifocals with clear glass in the top ... no off and on all day! Problem solved.
